With the right accessories, you can turn FlowPaw into just about anything you want. Whether you make it into a robot, a security device, a game controller, or a synthesizer, DSP Robotics believe you’ll enjoy the experience and learn a lot from it. The main board plugs into a PC via USB and can be programmed using the FlowStone STEM software. (You’d need something like Parallels to run it on a Mac.) The kit was originally designed for students, though it could make for a great general hobbyist kit, too.
Four of the many additional circuit boards that can click into the FlowPaw are included in the basic kit: a accelerometer, proximity sensory, an LED display, and a buzzer. Servos can also be plugged directly into the board.
