Biomechanical Sculptures

Christopher Conte has a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art as well as years of experience making prosthetics as a certified prostheticist. His sculptures often use a combination of original cast components and found/recycled parts. He uses exotic materials from the aerospace industry and the medical field, and he even uses ancient techniques such as lost-wax bronze casting. He has been featured in many magazines and on the Discovery Channel, and in June 2009, he loaned several of his works to the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA, for a one-year exhibition.
