Ever wondered how likely it is that your job will be stolen by a robot? Researchers at the University of Oxford studied the issue and produced a thoughtful paper entitiled, “The Future of Employment: How Susceptible Are Jobs to Computerisation?”
Now National Public Radio has created an interactive app based on their research so that you can figure out how likely it is that your job will be computerized. Enter your field and speciality, and the statistic shown will adjust to reflect your risk. According to the app, accountants have a 93.5 percent change of being replaced by machines. Becoming a clergyman, however, offers far more job security: the app suggests that there’s less than a 1 percent chance of a priest or rabbi losing their job to a robot.
