PC bot to PC Communication eg, Wireless Network

Hi, (I'm only new to this site),

I'm designing a "Base Robot",
- MicroITX motherboard
- PicoITX PSU
- HD
- Webcam (Tilt/Pan servo)
- 4 motors
** - Wireless Network card **

I want to be able to control my robot via the Network card and get the Image from the web cam from my Desktop PC.

Questions.
1. Is it possible?
2. Is it Hard?
3. Has it already been done?
4. dose anyone have any good design tips for a new guy?

and completly off subject, Is aluminium OK for the Chasis?
