Hello,
http://andrey.mikhalchuk.com/wp-content/upload/routerbot-small.thumbnail.jpg If you're looking for an inexpensive yet powerful robot you can build one from a Linksys WRT54GL router or similar (there are a lot of routers available from different vendors that can be reworked into robots).
A few parts like servos and servo controller + basic soldering skills + computer are required. The resulting robot can be teleoperated via WiFi and programmed in Bourne Shell.
The video of the robot is available here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BtXiXpSmG9c
The DIY instructions and project description are here: http://andrey.mikhalchuk.com/category/robots
