Newb looking for advice

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a way to acquire positional data from joints if I could position them manually.

I believe you can, but it depends on what kind of actuators you use.

I know that the Kondo robots has this feature, where you can manipulate joints and capture them. I don't own a Kondo myself, but you should post this question on a more Kondo-specific section of other forums such as the ones found on robosavvy.com.
