A ToledoBlade article describes the newest member of the University ofToledo's undergraduate admissions recruiting team. It's a WhiteBox Robotics 914 PC-BOT, modified by Ted Ronau, that "looks a bitlike R2-D2 from Star Warsfilms. But UT's version has a 19-inch monitor attached that displays anavatar modeled after Mr. Ronau's colleague, Roy Schneider, the managerof medical illustration at UT." Ted is already thinking about a new version of the robotthat would have more capabilities and be built by students as part of anengineering course.
