Hello,
I have been following closely the news of the i-Sobot. In "Robot" magazine, as well as the website, there has been mention of a future version that will have a head-mounted camera and LAN capability.
Does anyone have any update as to if that second version will indeed be released, and when?
Thanks!
Mike

The next generation i-SOBOT, with the camera and network capability has been designed and prototyped, but won't be put on the market for a while - probably Christmas 2008 at the earliest or maybe even later, and it will cost more - of course.
They need to get the first version out there, see how it is accepted, what problems they run into, what people really like or hate about it, etc., then incorporate that learning into the second generation product.

It's already out.
Online retailers like Amazon and Toys R Us have had it available for pre-order for a while. Neiman Marcus has been shipping them to customers for at least 3 weeks, Amazon shows it in stock, and the Toys R Us website shows they will start shipping next week. It should be available in brick&mortar stores within a week or so.

OK. I appreciate the information. Now that I know the next version will not be out for over a year at the earliest, I am comfortable with soon buying the current i-Sobot. Its completely understood that it will cost more - I believe the figure on the Robot website was $70+ more.
Thanks again!
