Hi,

I'm trying to build a project for school. And the idea I had in mind was building a humanoid autonomous biped robot. Except this bot i want it just to be the lower half like the legs and feet and maybe the torso. Sort of like the Bipedal walking robot project found in the book Build your own humanoid robots by Karl Williams http://www.thinkbotics.com/projects.htm except having it build to like E3 http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/history/e1_e2_e3.html one of asimo's predecessors.Though not too expensive or sophisticated sort of keeping the same standards from the biped robot found in Karl Williams book though more full scale to like the height of asimo's lower half. Any advice on what microcontrollers and servo motors to use would be helpful.

Many Thanks,
Humanoid :-D

You might take a look at the article about SixPac in one of the older issues of Robot. Something else you might want to pursue is taking a look at BRAT, the robot that Lynxmotion put out after Jim, the owner, read the SixPac article.
