Hi :

I'm Robotan I'm studying Mechatronics engineering , i prepare for my project .

Firstly , I want to know what is the programming language that I should learn it to help me how could robot listen to my orders ; such as , GO FORWARD , TURN RIGHT ... etc . and i need explaining by details please about that language .

I'm a little good with PLCs ... please fastly [/SIZE][/FONT]

The language will depend on the platform/processor you chose to build on. Any language can with enough programming do what you need but you are nowhere neer choosing a language before you decide the hardware you will use.

The best way to program for the robot or Micr controller is the Assembly language to start of and then go for embedded C. since assembly language is too close to your hardware.

:) There is a voice recognition IC sold by Sensory Inc. that can recognize up to 16 voice commands and toggle a bit for each command recognized. Used for telephone voice recognition, it can easily be adapted to a Basic language Microcontroller such as the Stamp BSX from Parallax Inc. The Basic language is widely used for robotics, animatronics and mechatronics and is very easy to learn. In fact Parallax has great tutorials on learning PBASIC and building robots such as the Toddler walking robot and the SUMO robot.
