I've recently taken up robotics (about a month ago) and i'm wondering if any one could give me some pointers.
my plan is to make a relatively simple line following robot. i have almost everything i need.
i still need a LM393 or equivalent chip and a set of wheels. if any one can tell me where to get these or any other tips, please do so.
Thanx:

Solarbotics would be a good place to get both the comparator and the wheels.

Another alternative might be the comparator at Radio Shack and the wheels from a hobby shop that carries DuBro products.

I agree, the Source has very little. I get any electronic parts I need from Digikey, next day delivery.

Check out www.allelectronics.com, for used everything including wheels and motors. What kind of line are you intending the robot to follow? A visible line, an energized wire, a string, a laser, or what?
