anyone got a link to plans or how this was made? would love to build it

Saw that one myself, loved it. I thought the show had a pretty clear view of it, welded one end of the chai to a steel bar, then threaded in lacing cord. Didn't see the actuation end, of course, but I'd thing a gearmotor per finger would work fine. No need to even use an ESC, just a relay would bang it on.

However, since the editors have a professional relationship with the guys, maybe they'd ask for us (hint hint Tom!)

yeah it had a clear view,and iv allmost got it figured,but my t-rex heli is taking my time,there are a coupla of other welds to solid up the "knuckles" I am pretty sure

I'm trying to remember who all was on that one?

Here's what I found on a site:

"5 pieces of heavy chain to formed the individual fingers and lace 'tendons' were weaved through the chain and attached to pneumatic actuators."
