lego vision command but no camera

I have the lego mindstorms vision command software, and booklet, but no lego video camera. So I was wondering if I could use a regular standerd webcam with USB and use the vision command software together?

I'm not sure if you can use another camera, but I know where to buy the lego camera from the Vision Command Set.
