RCX 1.5 windows XP and no com port

Ok, I got a RCX 1.5 and as you probubly alredy know it uses a com port and is win 95/98 and my laptop only has 2 USB ports and runs win XP, so to the question is there any way to use it? I alredy know you can not use a USB to COM port adapter.

Version 2.0 of the kit comes with a USB tower. That tower will work with a 1.0 or 1.5 brick (RCX).

I suspect your best bet would be to go to e-bay, and look for a USB tower.

If it were me, I'd watch e-bay for a whole 2.0 kit, including another RCX & all the pieces. Then you could have more parts to play with. (I mean build with)

Both the 2.0 tower and software will work just fine on the older bricks. (you'll need the 2.0 software to use the USB tower, and that should come with the kit)

I bought a kit off e-bay for my dad about a year ago for less than $90.

I doubt if you can get it from LEGO. Again, your best bet may be e-bay, or something like that.
