FYI, I just bought a multi turn servo HITEC HS785 from Servo City.
$40 bucks, compared to Futaba $140. :D

This is for use in a scratch built 1 meter RC sail boat. Im using 6 chan Futaba tx & Rx from my mothball'ed battle bot. Played in BattleBot arena in Norwin Hills PA Robot Cafe and Grill. (No longer in business) :(

Shipping was free, handling was $3.79 and I got 2 day Postal service!
Order went smoothly online, delivery was prompt!

Bench testing revealed a squeel when it ran quickly at 4.8v. Opened it up,
(I was going to anyway...) and only had a few dabs of white grease on
the outside of the gears, not on the posts, why is squealed. Silicone grease was on shelf, lubed posts up, works great! :P

I inspected it in detail while I had it open. Aside from needing more lube, product construction, design, gears, and soldering was quite good.

Operationally it turns 5 full turns when run on "Flaps" control knob on
transmitter. I found that to be more useful to twist knob and leave it for setting the sail angle then to keep holding the stick till my thumb gave out.

Im looking forward to when servo city starts shipping their external gear high powered servos for robotics! They say Jan 06.
Im definately gonna have to get some of them!!!

Then I'll need wireless networking, Servo interface to palmpilot for mobile cpu, vision system board, more servos, more batteries... Honey, where's my Visa Card?
