Hello everyone,
Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur presents before you ROBOTIX 09, the annual robotics competition as a part of KSHITIJ 09 (January 29,2009 to February 1,2009) the largest techno-management fest in Asia. With the participation increasing unerringly every year, ROBOTIX has enthralled more than 2500 participants, over 1200 teams in 2008 with huge prize money.
There are two online events :
FramED9211:You will be provided with a video of cars passing by one at a time with different speeds. All you need to do is submit a code which will be enclosing the number plate of the cars which have been reported to be speeding , in a box and relay the plate numbers. The event will be conducted in three stages : Prelims(where your codes will just be checked whether they are violating any rules or not ), First Round and Final Round. The deadline for prelims is 10th January 2009 . So what are you waiting for ? Hurry up and submit your code for the prelims before the deadline !!! μMouse4D: As far as this event is concerned , you just have to write the code for a robot which can traverse a maze and reach its centre in the quickest possible time. The code of the robot will be simulated in Microsoft Robotics Studio(MSRS), the latest development in the field of robotics.
The coder has to edit a function which controls the movement of the bot. The template for all codes will be provided by the AI heads of ROBOTIX. So why wait when you don’t have to come all the way to Kharagpur to participate in the event ?? Refer http://www.robotix.in/acc_umouse4d to get answers to all your queries. Hurry up and submit your codes for the preliminary rounds before 10th January, 2009. The potential prize money is over 1000$.
