Our friends in the Europe Union are celebrating the wonderful world of robotics this week, with more than 330 events. Those who aren’t able to attend European Robotics Week (EWR) in person can watch videos of robotics projects from labs in 24 countries across Europe, all accessible via an online map.
“The ERW is a key tool to spark future generations of roboticists,” said Irene Lopez de Vallejo, National Coordinator of the European Robotics Week in Spain. “I wish it a long and successful life span.” This year the focus is on education and robotics, with Spain, in particular tailoring many events to primary and secondary students and teachers.
EWR is a relatively new event, that started just three years ago. Each year more countries participate. Finland, Turkey, Cyprus and Macedonia are participating for the first time this year. Workshops, demonstrations, children activities, lab tours, competitions, challenges, are all part of the week long promotion of European innovation in robotics.
