DFRobot has released Version 2 of their popular Devastator Tank Mobile Platform. Like the original, Version 2 is constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy and is extremely solid and durable. The new and improved Version 2 includes the following features:
-New body shape for easy construction and to accommodate more modules.
-Modular wiring – no soldering iron needed!
-Upgraded V1’s plastic motors to durable and robust metal gear motors.
-Improved speed and torque.
-Increased load capacity from 1.5kg to 3kg.
-High-performance suspension to navigate the toughest terrains.
Like Version 1, it is fully compatible with most popular controllers in the market such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi and so on. The high-speed motors and premium tracks also allow it to move swiftly everywhere. What’s more, it benefits from a high-performance suspension and enjoys an outstanding mobility across even the toughest terrains. The platform has multiple mounting holes that allow users to add various sensors, servos, turntables and controllers (e.g. Romeo All-in-one, Raspberry Pi Model B+, Intel Edison, Lattepanda, and more).
This kit is perfect for hobbyists, educators, robot competitions and research projects! Possible applications also include mobile robotic arms, and outdoor 2WD mobile robots. It’s compatible with Intel Edison and includes robust metal gear motors and the Intel Edison microcontroller.
