Robot Film Festival – 2011

InnoRobo – 2011

Innorobo, the first European summit for service robots took place last March in Lyon, France. Visitors could enjoy seeing and playing with over 100 robots and new concepts. 30 of them were presented for the first time in Europe. Navigation and transportation, domestic, telepresence, education, edutainment and assistive robots made the show before an audience of 10,000 visitors.

Consumer Electronics Show 2011

If you are into High Tech and Robotics than the International Consumer Electronics Show is the place to “Get Your Geek On”. The CES is the largest gathering of it’s kind in the U.S. It attracts celebrities, business people, politicians, movers, shakers and this year Robots. This year’s attendance was up for the third straight year with over 140,000 people in attendance and over 2700 vendors displaying everything from 3DTV, MP3 players, Tablet Computers, Appliances and Robots. A gathering of this size is too large for one building so the Las Vegas Convention Center along with five area resorts played host to the event.

MOONRAKER – Winner Of The 2009 NASA Lunar Regolith Excavation Challenge!

Moonraker, a robot designed by Paul’s Robotics of Worcester, MA, recently won the 2009 NASA Lunar Regolith Excavation Challenge. The event, a NASA Centennial Challenge, attracted 23 teams from the United States and Canada to compete for the top prize of $500,000. Organized by the California Space Education and Workforce Institute (CSEWI), the event took place at NASA Ames Research Park in California on October 17 and 18, 2009.
