May 19-20 Maker Faire A Robotics Blowout!

If you are located out west or can travel in mid-May, you won't want to miss the May 19 – 20, '07 Maker Faire at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds in San Mateo, CA.

Last year's inaugural event, a real DIY technology festival, attracted more than 20,000 attendees and was widely covered by local, national and international media.

Last year, robotics participants included LEGO, Microsoft, Geek Squad, Parallax, the MythBusters, Machine Science, the Robot Society of America (RoboGames), Exploratorium and many more, see a gallery of that event here.

This technology event is so huge Super Fine Films will be making a documentary film of it.

For more background, visit www.makezine.com.

If you are a roboics hobbyist or professional, you'll enjoy the no-holds-barred approach to unexpected and intriguing robotics applications that will pepper this event. If you are a company who would like the media exposure this event uniquely provides, please contact MAKER FAIRE Director of Sales Scott Feen (707) 827-7105 scottf@oreilly.com for exhibitor arrangements. Robot Magazine hopes to see you there!
